I use my Cheyenne/Apache and Cherokee(Black Irish, will blog about that) to create my own unique style while still playing TraditionaI Music. Once in a Traffic road block in a box canyon at Bryce Canyon Nation Park. My Father-in-Law asked me to play my flute. As I played the sound that reverberated from the rock walls was entrancing and beautiful. So, I try to recreate that sound in my music. At that time I was playing volunteer gigs for the Boy Scouts, sharing traditional stories too.
Then one day I was selected to open a lecture for the late Russell Means. He, in case you don't know, was the first National director and co-founder of the American Indian Movement. He asked me "if I played professionally." I replied "no just for fun.". "He told me that I should consider doing it for a living. He added that my music is different than most flute musicians he has heard." So, I thought about it and have been working toward that goal ever since.
My favorite thing is improvizing most of my gigs......I Love it!
My dream is to use my music not only to support my family but to help others as well. It is the Traditional way. Such as food banks, disaster relief, suicide prevention and to help fight alcohol and drug abuse. And maybe, bring joy into people's lives
My Extended Edition debut CD of Traditional Native American flute music is available only below, but regular release is worldwide in over 40 digital music markets World Wide. But, the only place to get the HIGHEST Music quality and PRICING is right here.
